TWITR: Blog About Twitter

A Twitter discussion is a little bit different than a Blackboard discussion but completely different than an in-class discussion. In comparison to Blackboard discussion, Twitter is very similar because of the use of posts that you can then reply and comment. You can do all these things on the go and come back to it anytime but there are some slight differences. For Twitter, the 140 character maximum requirement can sometimes can really limit what people want to say which could make a discussion less in-depth and informative. In-class discussions are completely different than both of these because there is no way to really go back unless everything is recorded. These discussions are also usually moderated by professors and generally, not every student will have the time to speak. There are positives to having these in-class discussions because they will be more interactive with everyone actually in the same room and the discussions will never go off on a tangent.

  1. Personally, I believe they all offer same platform of community interaction..BlackBoard mainly focus more on educational aspect while Twitter is social.
